This work can be improved if you put more action in it, like- make more animations-more than just the head-more than just 4 icons moving.
but i love the way you use the pixels, it remind me of the video games i played when i was younger.
you can add in more detail and more decorations like, for example: flowers, circle, stars and so on. it just depends on the topic, the theme that you want to make. if it comes to Halloween, you can add in some candy, sweets, lollipops, and all kinds of treats.
you can also make the icons bounce. like some of them jump, some of them bounce, or some of them swirl around. if you want to repeat the same icon, you might as well change the design or add in some attractive accessories to make it look different.
I believe the girl icon can make some improvement as well. you can make it bigger or make the lines more clearer to actually see the shape of the icon. the face, on my point of view, is the most important part of the icon, as well as the movement of the icon, it must be interesting and eye catching, try not to make viewers bored. the face, it could be even clearer, as you can see the eyes can be improved. because i dont know whether the blue dot or the white dot is part of the eye. but the colours are fine.
the best way to improve is by looking other peoples' pixel art.
